For some time now, the Hessian police have stopped escorting heavy goods vehicles, in accordance with a decree. Heavy goods vehicles previously subject to police escort are now escorted by BF4 vehicles manned by administrative assistants. The basis for escort is a road book issued specifically for the route and verified by an authority.

The administrative effort is correspondingly greater here, as is the (financial) effort for the actual BF4 support.
