Challenges mastered at the Langenthal PV park
In November, the CC Bäuml team faced a special challenge at the Langenthal Photovoltaic Park, located between Wiesbaden and Trier. Our assignment was challenging: the transport and installation of four transformer stations in terrain that was anything but easy. Steep slopes, narrow passages, and slippery surfaces – just the right challenge for our experienced team and our powerful machines.
Accessing the site from an interim storage facility to the planned transformer station locations presented us with a number of challenges. Bridges with low clearances, a hairpin bend, gradients of up to 20 percent, and muddy ground made the project a real test. It was clear that this task required not only technical expertise and precise planning, but also machinery capable of withstanding these conditions and a team that could not be thrown off balance.
The transport of the transformer stations was made possible with the support of a transshipment vehicle and two cranes on site. Our Faun BKF was used as a towing aid for the most difficult sections. We also constructed mobile construction roads and stable support surfaces for the assembly crane using our road slabs. Thanks to the coordination of Volker Bäuml as an experienced supervisor, we were able to master the logistical challenges with ease.
In the end, the perfect coordination paid off: A huge compliment goes to everyone involved who contributed to the success of this project with their cool heads and tireless dedication. Thank you very much for the fantastic collaboration!
